I have been following this series and have loved the first three books in the series. I n the previous books, A. J was not a very likeable character. She was ruthless, uncaring and all about taking care of business.I enjoyed learning about her softer side and why she was that what. While I love their romance, and the chemistry between them; I was thrown off by the back story. I just didn't connect to the part about her family's royal connection; so much so that I skipped over a lot of those sections.
Overall it was a great read.

Okay you have to love when a romance turns into a fairy tale.This is such a well written story,with all the twist and turns that come along with relationships.The chemistry between Alan and A J is so hot it burns the pages.I love the fact that ,these are two adults that can give as good as they get.There is something to be said when you discover that the woman you love is surely a true queen .These are characters you can like and get behind them in their decisions.Such a worthy addition to such a spectacular series.I love the fact that we still get to get glimpses of Hearts family.I also think that cousin True should have her own story.
Ms. Laquette does not skimp on alpha male who yields only to loving a strong woman. Wow! Whew! Hot, sweet, unique, memorable. I want more - and celebrate the other stories yet to come in this series from this gifted writer. Enjoy!
AJ was never a favorite character of mine in the previous books BUT this book gave me more insight to her true self and....I NOW LOVE HER!! I see her once thought of arrogance as the queenly behavior it really is. And the chemistry between her and Alan...SMOKING!!!
Awesome addition to the series!
I read this story in one day. I've been waiting to read it since its release. Again, Kuddos to LaQuette for another excellently told story. Passionate love scenes and mystery all intertwined together. I was happy to see Miss AJ have feelings and emotion. Her character proved to have more substance than when we first met her. This was awesome character, development. Great job LaQuette ! Keep writing & I will keep reading.
I wasn't sure I was going to like this book AJ was not my favorite person, but she definitely grew on me. I loved her relationship with Alan, the way it evolved, the way he demanded she be better at being a humane person. She had a lot of growing to do, and she did, well.
The overall plotline was strong and the twists were very satisfying. I loved this book and highly recommend it.
This part 4 of the series that involves Heart, Kenneth and dome of Heart's family. AJ Tenneti is Kenneth's lawyer and Alan is his best friend. If you read parts 1-3 you will be introduced tot he players and particulars on each. This is AJ and Akan's Story. Attraction over the charts with intrigue and mystery. Can AJ be free of the past that wants to destroy her? Will Alan overcome the hurt that has left him a shell of a man?
Finally all the pieces are put together and I enjoyed the story..
AJ Tenetti is a woman who can't be pushed around or broken down, well that is until Alan comes into the picture and provokes her to be true and honest with herself and the people she "LOVE". I have to admit in previous books AJ wasn't my favorite character; but after getting her full story I have a new found love and respect for Queen AJ. I love Alan fine sexy self, he is not a pushover and he was the man for the job when it came to AJ. As always La Quette deliveried.
